As Christians, we are all fairly educated on the topic of sowing into another’s life. On that note, let’s take an instant-score writer’s test. With 10 representing all of the time (or fairly consistently) and 1 representing never (or almost never), give yourself a rating on how often you sow seed into the life of another writer. Wait! Don’t tell me! Keep your number between you and God. 😊

I’m guessing that we could all improve our score, so here are a few absolutely FREE items you can use to sow into a fellow writer’s life.

IF THE WRITER HAS PUBLISHED

1. Write an Amazon or Goodreads review for his/her book. This is the equivalent of gold to any author!
2. Follow the author on Goodreads or Amazon.
3. Comment on the author’s blog or social media post.

IF THE WRITER HAS NOT YET PUBLISHED

1. Friend the writer on social media so you can be aware of his/her writing journey. In other words: let the writer know someone else cares.
2. Send IM’s or emails of encouragement to keep on writing! Remind the writer of being called by God!

The neat thing about being both a writer and a Christian is that we are all members of the same family. Treat the writers in your life like you want to be treated and you’ll never go wrong. 😊
